Vinemont announces 4th of July fireworks show

SOUTH VINEMONT, Ala. – The South Vinemont Town Council on Tuesday night. announced that the town’s 4th of July fireworks show will be held on Sunday, July 2, from 6-9 p.m. at the Vinemont Sports Complex. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be served, and there will be an area with bouncy houses and slides for kids.

The town’s next senior citizen event will be held Monday, June 19, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Vinemont Community Center. Any senior citizen is welcome to attend.

The council said the Sports Complex will host the USSA World Series Baseball Tournament June 22-25.

The following ordinances and resolutions were approved:

  • Ordinance 2023-06-01 Zoning Map Amendment to Ordinance 2023-05-01
  • Resolution 2023-06-01 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday
  • Approval of request from Vinemont Golf Team for hole sponsorship
  • Approval for Pickle Ball Court
  • Approval to Sanction BBQ Cookoff with Kansas City Barbeque Society
  • Approval for upgrades to Town Hall

The next council meeting will be Tuesday, July 11, at 6 p.m. at South Vinemont Town Hall.
