CULLMAN, Ala. – The annual Cullman City vs. Cullman County Blood Drive is this Friday, June 16,from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
There’s an urgent need for all blood types, but Type O blood especially, as blood banks are hitting annual summertime emergency shortage levels. Last week LifeSouth Community Blood Centers were already facing a shortage of 87 units.
In addition to a T-shirt, each donor will receive a $20 e-gift card (with double-red and platelet donors receiving an extra $20 e-gift card), plus a coupon for a free Lawlers Barbecue sandwich and a coupon for free cookie dough with purchase at Papa Murphy’s Pizza.
There are four donation sites:
Team Cullman County: Cullman County Courthouse and south Cullman Wal-Mart
Team City of Cullman: Dick’s Sporting Goods and north Cullman Wal-Mart Donors must be 17 or older (16 with written parental permission) and weigh at least 110 pounds.
