HANCEVILLE, Ala. – The second annual Hanceville Rodeo was held Saturday at CW Day Park.

“We are happy with how the second annual rodeo turned out, thanks to the hard work and dedication of many people. I’m grateful to everyone who contributed to the event’s success. We could not have done it without everyone’s help,” said Hanceville Parks & Recreation Director David Wasilewski. “I’m also grateful to the employees for their hard work throughout the year to ensure the rodeo’s success. All our departments worked together and showed unity to make the event run smoothly.”

The rodeo featured a variety of action-packed entertainment including bull riding, bronc riding, pyrotechnics, axe throwing and a mechanical bull. There were several vendors and food trucks on-site, providing attendees with a large variety of food and drinks to enjoy.

“We are learning new ways to make the rodeo even better each year, but all in all, the rodeo was a success, and it’s a unique and fun event that brings people together,” said Wasilewski. “We organizers are grateful for the opportunity to host the rodeo and look forward to next year’s event.”

Bareback riding winners were Colten Carpenter ($891.68), Tony McDowell ($626.07) and Donnie Cole ($379.44).

Bull riding winners were Josh Phillips ($1,261.44) and Colby Williams ($840.96).
