CULLMAN, Ala. – Friday, June 9, marked the return of 2nd Fridays in downtown Cullman. The summertime favorite is hosted by the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism in and around the Warehouse District.
Cullman Mayor Woody Jacobs said his favorite part of these events is seeing members of the community have a good time.
“Seeing the people walking the streets, looking at the different displays, just meeting the people, that’s what I really enjoy,” he smiled.
Friday’s event included two car shows, one with the Jeep Club and the other a cruise-in style.
The Cullman County Home Builders Association sponsored this month’s Kids’ Zone. Activities included bounce houses, an obstacle course, slides, a mobile arcade, X-treme Painting and washable tattoos.
Entertainment included Joe Showers (Joe the Juggler), Justin and Tab music and the Lamont Landers Band.
The next 2nd Fridays will be July 14, at 5 p.m. Applications for vendor and food opportunities will re-open on June 14. Contact pclabo@cullmanchamber.org or go to www.facebook.com/2ndFridaysCullman for more information.
