FAIRVIEW, Ala. — The Fairview Aggies faced off against the DAR Patriots in a Friday night spring jamboree game. Fairview took control from the word go as they ended up rolling to a 56-14 win over DAR.

Fairview couldn’t have asked for a better start to the game offensively as Carson Jones picked up 15 yards on the first play. He later added a seven-yard run that put the Aggies at the 38. Jameson Goble then broke free for a 30-yard gain and after a penalty, Barret York connected with Gannon Black for a 10-yard gain as that put them at the three. Jones found the end zone on the next play to give them an early 7-0 lead. After a Patriot punt, the Aggies marched the ball down the field once again, thanks in part to a 17-yard run by Jones and a York-to-Goble 13-yard pass play. The last two plays saw Jones get the ball, including a 15-yard scamper, as that gave Fairview a 14-0 lead.

Kolt Redding picked off a DAR pass on the next series and on just the second play of the series, Redding found Isaac Elrod for a 17-yard score to make it 21-0. Another Patriot punt gave the ball back to the Aggies and York found Goble down the right sideline for a 68-yard touchdown to make the score, 28-0. Another three-and-out by the Patriots gave Fairview the ball once again and again, they drove the ball down the field. A 32-yard pass from York to Ashton McCleskey put the Aggies at the eight and Jones found the end zone two plays later on a one-yard run to make it 35-0.

Goble later added a 57-yard score down the left sideline and Jake Harper broke free for a 60-yard touchdown run to end the first half as Fairview took a commanding 49-0 lead into the locker room. The JV took the field to start the second half and the Aggies put up a score late in the third quarter on a 14-yard swing pass. The Patriots avoided the shutout as they put up a pair of touchdowns to make it 56-14, but Fairview would end up getting the win, 56-14, over DAR.

Jones finished with 72 yards on eight carries and three scores for Fairview. Goble added 87 yards on the ground and a score, plus 81 yards receiving and another touchdown. Harper put up a rushing touchdown, while York and Redding each threw a touchdown pass. Elrod finished with a touchdown reception and Redding picked off a pass in the game.
