BAILEYTON, Ala. – The morning sun poured down on Baileyton as dozens of arts and crafts purveyors, food tents and local merchants put the finishing touches on their booths in Baileyton Park for the third annual Baileyton Family Fun Day Saturday, May 13.
The heat wasn’t going to stop families from joining in on the fun of bounce houses, games, face painting and more. The parking lot filled quickly with families filing into the park with strollers and children abound ready to spend the day at the park and listen to the serenades of Traditions Rising and Jesse Priest.
Baileyton Family Fun Day is a project that Baileyton Mayor Windell Calloway envisioned even before he was elected, and he said this third year has been the town’s biggest and best.
“It’s gotten better each year. We want it to grow; we want everyone in our community and even outside of it to come and enjoy it,” smiled Calloway.
Baileyton Town Clerk Nikki Fry made sure to show her gratitude to the town for really showing up and showing out, saying, “We’re just so thankful that we have the opportunity to do this for our community!”
