CULLMAN, Ala. — Cullman Regional Medical Center has named Jason Cunningham, MHA, FACHE, as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Cunningham will be responsible for day-to-day hospital operations and supporting hospital growth initiatives.
“Cullman Regional is forward moving and poised to continue growth as a regional health system,” said James Clements, CEO of Cullman Regional. “Jason understands today’s healthcare landscape and has significant experience in hospital operations. Both talents are important to support our teams, our long-term plans, and our patients.”
With an extensive background in healthcare administration, Cunningham has served as COO of HCA Florida Osceola Hospital and COO at HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital. In his time with HCA, Cunningham managed $178M in construction projects and was instrumental in achieving operational enhancements in quality, efficiency, and physician engagement.

Jason earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas in Tyler, TX, and his Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia. Jason is a graduate of HCA Healthcare’s Executive Development Program, a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives, and an active member of their Career Development Committee.
