CULLMAN, Ala. – Another baseball season is in the books in Cullman County and that means there are plenty of postseason honors to be awarded. The county’s seven head coaches voted on this year’s awards and All-County teams and have selected Cold Springs’ standout shortstop and pitcher Brodee Bartlett as this year’s Most Valuable Player after helping lead the Eagles back to the playoffs.
Cold Springs Head Coach Brendan Voce was also recognized as the Coach of the Year after guiding the Eagles to the postseason. West Point’s Brody Freeman earned Offensive Player of the Year honors after a great season at the plate and his teammate Kanaan Sutter was selected as the Pitcher of the Year after an outstanding season on the mound. Fairview’s Lucas West put together a stellar season behind the plate as well, earning him Defensive Player of the Year honors.
