Funeral Service for Jimmy Maples, age 77, of Cullman, will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Mt. Olive Bible Based Fellowship Church in Berlin; interment in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the service.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Maples passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at UAB Hospital. He was born Oct. 16, 1945, to Glenn Oakley Maples and Edith Parker Maples.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Glendell McCaghren; and brothers, J.T. Maples, Frankie Maples, and Larry Maples.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Charlotte Maples; daughters Tonya (Todd) Hardman, Monica (Tim) Roberts, Kim (Tommy) Mullican, Shanna (Phillip) Schnittker, Heather Maples, and Courtney (Michael) Dean; grandchildren, Treyla (Will) Kessler, Trett (Sadie) Hardman, Morgan (Casey) Watts, Bryant Roberts, Brileigh-Cate Roberts, Dalys Mullican, Oakley Mullican, Dylan (Payton) Smith, Dawson (Kyndul) Smith, John-Connor Smith, Hayden Maples, Daylia (Jacob) Hill, and Colt Dean; great-grandchildren, Sam Kessler, Noah Kessler, Luke Kessler, Bo Kessler, Walt Hardman, Henry Watts, Blaize Smith, Gunner Smith, Acie Smith, Kynzlee Smith, and Jett Smith; sister, Kathryn (Frank) Monk; brother, Avery (Carol) Maples; sister, Tammy (Randy) Whitten; sisters-in-law, Brenda Maples and June Maples; brother-in-law, Hoyt McCaghren; a host of nieces and nephews; and he was granddaddy to many more.
