Funeral services for Fred Wilburn Bussey of Hanceville will be 12 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at East Side Baptist Church in Cullman. Reverends Matt Smith and Sam Hollis will officiate. Burial will take place following the service at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville. Visitation for the public will be from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Monday at East Side Baptist Church.
Mr. Bussey was born on July 17, 1927 in Blount County, Alabama to the late Houston and Delilah (Latta) Bussey. He passed away at the age of 95 on April 4, 2023 at his residence in Hanceville.
Survivors include his loving wife, Aloha Bussey; children, Frederick Bussey and Freda Curry; grandchildren, Frederick Tristian Bussey, Lauren Elizabeth Salsman and Sarah Boyd-Sparks; great grandchildren, Nolan Sparks, Murry Sparks, Quinn Sparks, Margot Salsman, Hugh Salsman, Lanagan Bussey, and Thomas Potter Bussey; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bussey was preceded in death by his son, David Houston Bussey; great-granddaughter, Infant Charlotte Amelia Bussey; 3 sisters; and 1 brother.
