Amelia Ann Harris Richardson, age 82, of Double Springs, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Hendrix Health and Rehabilitation in Double Springs.
Amelia was born on December 3, 1940 in Haleyville, Alabama.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Brother Ronnie Melvin will officiate. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Amelia is survived by her son, Newton Albert Cagle, Jr. (Elizabeth); daughters, Brenda Daniel (Wes) and Shelia Roby (Stewart); grandchildren, Steven Cagle (Tina), Jason Cagle (Deidre), Brett Butler (Dawn), and Casey Goodwin; great grandchildren, Dakota Cagle, Kaylee Cagle, Kameron Cagle, Callen Butler, and Chloe Butler; sister, Corrine Garrison (Clyde); and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Leonard Harris and Bessie Maze Harris Owsley; husband, George Richardson; stepfather, Roy Owsley; brothers, Milious Harris and Dewey Liverett; and sisters, Iona Godsey and Onita Bailey.
