Jerry Ronald Heatherly, 78, left this world March 31, 2023 at his residence. He was born March 16,1945 in Cullman to Dora Johnson Heatherly and Mack Heatherly. He was their fifth of six sons.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four of his brothers. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Jasper Heatherly; daughter, Amy Burdette-Gray (David); brother, Raymond Heatherly (Imogene), eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Cullman High School and received a Bachelor’s of Education from Mississippi State University. He retired from the Cullman County Juvenile Court System after more than two decades of service. He was also a long-standing member of the North Alabama Substance Abuse Council. He was a member of Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene.
The family would like to thank a special caregiver, Tiffany Garrison, and Southern Care Hospice.
The family will receive friends at Moss Funeral Home on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. with funeral to follow in the chapel. Interment will be at Cullman City Cemetery.
We mourn the loss but rejoice that he is with his Heavenly Father in Heaven.
