CULLMAN, Ala. – Applications are now being accepted for the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office Citizens’ Academy – spring 2023 session. The Citizens’ Academy is an opportunity for all residents of Cullman County to learn about the role of law enforcement in our community.
“We realize that everyone‘s time is extremely valuable. Because of this, we are streamlining our Citizens’ Academy. By condensing it, we hope to allow more of our citizens the ability to make the commitment and enjoy the experience,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry.
This will be a five-session program, beginning March 14, with classes meeting Tuesday evenings from 6-9 at . There is no fee to attend.
Highlights will include a SWAT team demo, a tour of the Cullman County Detention Center, a morning at the shooting range and CCSO speakers sharing scenario-based experiences.
