CULLMAN, Ala. – After a 911 call was made at approximately 10:10 a.m. from Cullman Funeral Home, Cullman County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Cullman Police Department officers arrived on scene and detained Orie Shannon McDearmond, 33, of Cullman. McDearmond is being held without bond in the shooting of two victims inside the funeral home on Monday morning over a reported family dispute.
The parties who were shot suffered non-life threatening injuries and are expected to recover.
McDearmond has been charged with two counts each of aggravated assault/attempted murder and assault/aggravated assault/family/gun. He is being held at the Cullman County Detention Center.
No other information is available at this time as it is an ongoing investigation.
