Cullman, Ala. – The Cullman Chamber Board of Directors is committed to building a thriving community by working with city and community leaders to best meet the needs of our community. After several months of searching for a permanent leader of the organization, the Board announced today that they are re-opening the search for a new President/CEO.
The Chamber search committee did receive several applications; however, none of the applicants met the requirements outlined by the Board as necessary to continue moving the organization forward. Therefore, the Board has decided to conduct a full executive search in order to find the right leader to continue the vision set by the Board over the past year.
“This decision was made following the resignation of Interim President Keith Varden,” Board Chair Stephen Parker said. “We appreciate the work done over the past few months, and wish him best of luck in his future endeavors.”
Chamber Board members will be supporting the staff through this transition in order ensure the programs continue to be successful. The Board search committee will meet over the next couple of weeks to determine the best steps in order to make recommendations on the best plan of action for securing a permanent leader for the organization.
More information regarding the process for applying for the position will be forthcoming.
