City planning commission holds multiple public hearings

CULLMAN, Ala. – The City of Cullman Planning Commission on Monday had several public hearings and subdivisions on its agenda. All agenda items were approved with no opposition from the public or commission members. 

Public hearings were held with subdivisions approved for:  

  • North Ridge subdivision, located north of Alabama Highway 157 and off County Road 1402, for Phase II lots 141, 142, 102 and 103. 
  • Property located on Eighth Street Southwest between Main Avenue Southwest and Eighth Avenue Southwest. The property is located on the south side of Eighth Street Southwest. 
  • Portion of Lee Avenue Southwest north of Graham Street to a B-1 zoning district. 
  • Property on Hays Drive Northwest and Old Highway 157 Northwest  
  • Rob and Mary Werner and the new owners of Werner’s requested the property on Fourth Street Southwest between Hickory Avenue and Austin Avenue be subdivided.  
  • Rezoning of 1106 Second Avenue Northwest from M-1 to B-2.  

In other business, the 2021 I-Codes and 2020 National Electric Code were adopted. 

An annexation request for a City-owned property on Alabama Highway 69 across from Yutaka was approved.
