CULLMAN, Ala. – Just a few months removed from Rock the South 2022, festival partner Shane Quick on Friday announced that next year’s event will be the biggest one yet, growing from two days to three.
“Going to three days allows us to continue to compete on a national level with other festivals, bring more bands to Cullman and spread our expenses over another festival day,” said Quick.
RTS 2023 will be held Thursday-Saturday, July 20-22. In previous years, RTS was held in early summer, and most recently, in August.
Said Quick, “Doing the festival in July allows us to be further away from the school year and away from college rush season.”
The economic impact created by RTS has been felt by the city and county. According to Quick, the continued growth of the festival will only increase the revenue generated by local hotels, restaurants, gas stations and other businesses across the region.
“The economic impact on the city/county was nearly $20 million in 2022,” he said. “We fully expect that to be closer to $30 million in 2023 because of the extra festival day and continued growth.”
2023 lineup and ticket sales
“We will announce the artists on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m.,” said Quick. “At that same time, we will start our 24-hour pre-sale. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m.”
Quick encouraged fans to sign up on the festival’s website to receive a pre-sale code. More details can be found on RTS social media platforms and www.rockthesouth.com.
