Bernard Blues and BBQ returns Oct. 29

CULLMAN, Ala. – The sixth annual Bernard Blues and BBQ event hosted by St. Bernard Prep School will take place Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 29-30, on the grounds of St. Bernard Abbey and Prep School.

The popular festival will feature arts, crafts and music from artists all over the Southeast and beyond. Unique items for sale by artisans will include pottery, wreaths, door hangers, flowers, wood turned bowls, clothing, birdhouses, honey, jewelry, soap, brooms, metal art, glass art and more.

Festivalgoers can enjoy live music from Elnora Spencer, Earl Williams and the Juke Band and The Sinners, as well as partake in pulled pork, ribs, hamburgers, brats, chicken and more goodies from various food vendors.

Additionally, guests can tour the Ave Maria Grotto for a reduced admission price of $5 all weekend.

Visitors can enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win the first-place $10,000 cash prize. The drawing will take place, Sunday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. Second place will be $1,000, third $500 and fourth $250.

The juried art festival will give $3,000 in monetary awards to participating artisans. Best of Show will win $1,000, first place $500, second place $250 and Distinction Awards $125 each. There will also be a People’s Choice Award.

Bernard Blues and BBQ will take place Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 29-30, from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. each day at 1600 St. Bernard Drive in Cullman. Admission is $10. Children younger than 5 get in free. No pets are allowed.
