Obituary: Jerry Freddie Scott

The funeral service for Jerry Freddie Scott, 76, of Cullman will be 12 noon, Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, at the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel.  The visitation will be Sunday night, Oct. 16, from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home.  Rev. Cory Drummond, Rev. Johnny Freeman and Rev. Roger Hood will officiate the service.  The interment will be at Crosses Chapel Cemetery.

Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the Scott family.

Mr. Scott was born May 29, 1946, to Newman C. and Lizzie Bell Russell Scott. He loved restoring old cars and owned several and had many car show friends.  Jerry loved to travel and loved playing with his great grandkids.  He loved his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Newman C. and Lizzie Bell Russell Scott; his sisters: Betty Lorene Jones and Eunice Turner; and infant brother: Gary Scott; special friends: Diane and Dana Parker; and his brother-in-law: Earl Turner.

Mr. Scott is survived by his wife of 50 years: Shirley Moore Scott; daughter: Melanie Scott Daugherty; brothers: Roy (Kay) Scott, Early Scott; brothers-in-law: Doyce Jones and Lamar Moore; sister-in-law: Carol Davis; grandchildren: Jonathan (Laura) Daugherty, Josh (Kristi) Daugherty; great-grandchildren: Gunner Daugherty, Cannon Daugherty, Aaliyah Daugherty, Riley Daugherty, Bea Shaw, Briece Buxton; special friends: Gary and Janet Sawyer; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
