James Preston Boren, 83, of Haleyville, Alabama entered into rest on Sept. 30, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family.
James was born on Jan. 20, 1939, in Fulton, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, from 12 noon – 1 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Brother Phil Kimbrough will officiate. Burial will follow in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Haleyville Alabama.
James is survived by his wife: Barbara McKinney Boren; son: Rickey Boren; daughter: Debbie Cooke; grandchildren: Ben Boren, Amanda Thundershield, Nathan Boren, and Gwen Cooke; three great grand children; step-sons: Keith Dolan and Daryl (Christy) Dolan.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ervin and Auline Boren; brothers: Dwight Boren, Charles Boren; sister: Robbie Woolridge; daughter-in-law: Tammy Boren.
