Sylvia Janette Johnson, age 89 of the Helicon community, passed away Sept. 27, 2022, at the Folsom Center in Cullman.
Sylvia was born on Jan. 25, 1933, to Gilbert and Vera Hale.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Liberty Cemetery, Helicon community. Karmie Johnson and Jay Hale will officiate.
Sylvia is survived by her daughter: Reda Johnson Wilson; grandchildren: Karmie Johnson, Kimberly Johnson (Jason) Douglas, Karla Johnson (Tre) Thomas, Adam (Kim) Johnson, and Julie Johnson (Justin) Cornelius; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Rufus Carmon Johnson; sons: Jimmie Wayne Johnson and Timothy Carmon Johnson; granddaughter: Michelle Nicole Wilson Ferry; grandson: James Matthew Wilson; three brothers; and one sister.
