CULLMAN, Ala. – Whitney Cheatham, a registered nurse with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a background in endoscopy, post-surgical and home health services has recently begun an enterprising new business to bring IV therapy to Cullman. Services are currently provided on a concierge basis in residential or commercial settings.

When creating Infusion Wellness & Spa, IV Therapy Lounge, her goal was to provide adequate care including IV hydration, weight-loss management and spa services that everyone can afford.

“Infusion Wellness & Spa is the first clinic in Cullman, Alabama to focus primarily on IV therapy and wellness,” said Cheatham. “IV infusions are the fastest and most effective way to deliver vitamins and nutrients to those who would like to make it a part of their health and wellness regimen.”

Cheatham, with the physician on her team, Dr. Tom Oliver, currently offers concierge visits to set clients up on IV drips. The various IV drips include packages for rehydration, improving the immune system, fighting acne and wrinkles, increasing metabolism, boosting energy and even providing hangover relief. For a list of drip packages, visit www.infusionwellness.com.

The vitamins included in the drips are B Complex, B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, NAD+ and more. Cheatham will answer any client questions about the specific vitamins included in each package.

The Infusion Wellness & Spa website states, “We believe by delivering essential, life sustaining nutrients and supplements directly into the bloodstream that we can enhance cellular health. With the increase in healthier cells within the body we believe people can be more energetic, more resilient to heart disease, dementia, cancer and other life altering diseases. Vitamin deficiencies are linked to many co-morbidities and diseases. Common symptoms of vitamin deficiencies include fatigue, mental fog, brittle hair and nails, muscle cramps, bleeding gums, dry scaly patches, hair loss, and restless leg syndrome, as well as other diseases.”

As with any medical procedure, there are risks for some individuals.

Cheatham said, “There are some risks with patients with cardiac disease or chronic renal disease, which we ask about prior to IV administration and develop a plan of care that is safe for everyone, but for others the risks are very minimal such as risks of bruising, infection and vein inflammation. However, our staff is trained and are medical professionals that can combat these minimal to no risks.”

Cheatham hopes to open a storefront by the first of January 2023. Her added services at that time will be VersaSpa automated spray tan booths, which she says combine skincare science and tanning technology to amplify the skin’s inherent beauty.

The spa’s offerings will be gluten free, paraben free, cruelty free, nut free, vegan and non-comedogenic.

“We will also have warm neck pillows and blankets during treatment. (We’ll have) salon/spa products including, but not limited to, Redken, Pureology, Olaplex, Amika and Kenra. We will offer eyebrow, lip (and) chin waxing and Botox parties,” said Cheatham.
