CULLMAN, Ala. – The bearcat swim team hosted Florence, Athens, and Westminster Christian Thursday night in their second sprint meet of the season. Overall, the CHS girls finished first and the guys finished second behind a great Florence team. The girls’ team was led by Morgan Fuller, Ruby Hudson, Anna Page, and Madison Clements, combining to finish first in both the 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard free relays. Individual top finishes included the following:
- Madison Clements – 1st in the 50-yard butterfly, 1st in the 200-yard freestyle, and 1st in the 50-yard backstroke
- Ruby Hudson – 2nd in 100-yard freestyle, 2nd in the 50-yard freestyle, and 2nd in the 50-yard breaststroke
- Chase Duncan – 1st in the 50-yard freestyle, 1st in the 50-yard backstroke, 3rd in 100-yard freestyle
- Morgan Fuller – 2nd in the 100-yard IM, 3rd in the 50-yard freestyle, and 3rd in the 50-yard backstroke
- Anna Page – 3rd in the 100-yard IM, and 3rd in the 50-yard butterfly
- Luke Johnson – 1st in the 100-yard IM, 2nd in the 50-yard breaststroke, and 3rd in the 200-yard freestyle
- Hilson Cole – 2nd in the 100-yard IM
- Mika Lackey – 3rd in the 50-yard breaststroke
- Camp Smith – 3rd in the 50-yard butterfly
Bearcat swim will compete again Saturday, Sept. 24 in the North Alabama Sprint Championship meet in Madison, AL.
