Carbon Anthony Todd, 74, of Dodge City, passed away on Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, at UAB Hospital. He was born July 10, 1948. Mr. Todd was the Mayor of Dodge City, Alabama and helped to incorporate Dodge City into a town. He loved fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Vinemont Church of God and also served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Richard (Jeanette) Todd and Dora (Kenneth) Deskin; sisters: Bonetta Raney, Sharon Harp, Mark Scott, Ginger Dickens, Margie Cordes and Tammy Hutchinson.
He is survived by his wife: Martha Todd; sons: Daniel (Michelle) Todd and Stephen (Windy) Todd; grandchildren: Jeremy (Shaye) Todd, Lana Todd and Evan Todd; great grandchildren: Athena Todd and Rylie Todd; sisters: Helen (Kermit) Johnson and Rose (Jonathan) Langston; brother: Kent (Steve Blankenship) Scott; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Methodist Cemetery.
