FAIRVIEW, Ala. – The Fairview Aggies put together an impressive showing on the offensive side of the ball against Priceville Friday night but unfortunately for the home crowd, it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Bullodgs. The Aggies took a 47-46 lead in the final minute of the game, but Priceville was able to respond and score in the final seconds to take the thriller 54-47.

Fairview running back Eli Frost took on to the house on the game’s first play to put the Aggies up 7-0 but as they would all night, the Bulldogs answered with a touchdown of their own to tie things up just one play later. Both teams continued to trade blows back and forth, but the score remained tied at 20 when they went into the locker room for the halftime break.

The Aggies and Bulldogs kept racking up the points throughout the second half as well and Fairview appeared to move ahead for good when Frost scored his fourth touchdown of the night from 5 yards out to give the Aggies a 47-46 advantage with 38 seconds on the clock. However, Priceville had one more miracle left, and the Bulldogs connected on a 55-yard touchdown pass in the final seconds of the game to escape Dafford Smith Stadium with a thrilling, 54-47 win over Fairview.

The Aggies fall to 1-1 with the loss and they’ll look to bounce back next week when they host East Limestone.
