Fayrene H. Chambers, 91 of Double Springs, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, at her residence.
Fayrene was born on September 18, 1930, in Moulton, Alabama to Arthur Edward Harris and Lillie Leola Folsom Harris. She was a member of The Rock Family Worship Center where for many years she was involved with the children’s ministry, as well as other areas. Through her church involvement and the 25 years she owned her home daycare she touched the lives of more than 100 children. She was “Nanny” for numerous children.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022, from noon – 2 p.m. at The Rock Family Worship Center, with funeral services at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Double Springs Memorial Gardens. Pastor Drew Robbins and Rev. David Nelson will officiate.
Fayrene is survived by her son: Jim Chambers and wife Karen; daughter: Donna Estes and husband Wayne; grandchildren: Deonna Hanley and husband Alan, Shane Chambers and and wife Tia, Amy Adkins and husband Keith, Nakia Lester and husband Jeremy, Justin Estes and wife Lauren; great grandchildren: Jamison Hanley, Parker Hanley, Sydney Chambers, Luke Chambers, Maddie Adkins, John Garrett Adkins, Josiah Lester, Jebediah Lester, Elise Estes, and Jaden Estes; great great grandchildren: Kenna Traynom, Branson Traynom, Paisley Lester, and Declan Lester; brothers: Bill Harris, Rayburn Harris, Donald Harris, Russell Harris, and Ronnie Harris; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Leonard S. Chambers; father: Arthur E. Harris; mother: Lillie Leola Harris; sisters: Louise Overton, Marjorie Bailey, Nadine Tucker, Helen Brown, and Wanda Holland; and brothers: William R. Harris, Roland Harris, and Roy Harris.
Pallbearers will be Shane Chambers, Justin Estes, Jamison Hanley, Parker Hanley, Josiah Lester, Luke Chambers, John Garrett Adkins, and Jebediah Lester.
