Colby Aaron Ford, 14, of Holly Pond, Alabama, passed away on August 1, 2022. Colby was born in Cullman, Alabama, on October 17, 2007, to Amanda Rodgers Ford and David Leon Ford.

Colby was a sweet hearted young man. He loved to play video games with his friends online.  Colby was artistic and creative, and he enjoyed listening to music. He excelled in everything he did. Colby would have been a freshman at Holly Pond High School this fall. He had a bond with his siblings and cousin that was unbreakable, and he will be missed by his friends as well. Colby touched many lives in his fourteen years and the hearts of his parents, family, and friends will always carry the memory of the sweet young man they love so dearly.

Colby is preceded in death by his grandparents: Patsy Ford, Charles Ford, Reda Rodgers; uncle: Tim Ford; and brother: Caden Rodgers.

He is survived by his father: David Ford; mother: Amanda Ford (Chuck McDonald); grandparents: Donald Rodgers (Violene Kelley); brothers and sisters: Heath Ford, Shayla Ford, Karli Marler (Derek Robertson); best friend, cousin, and brother at heart: Camrin Otto Canaday; girlfriend: Kinsley Skinner; aunts and uncles: Tony Ford (Myra), Brad Ford (Lindsay), Kerry Canaday (Bryan), Rhonda Kretschmar (Fionna), Cynthia Wood, Teresa Cobbs; cousins: Kevin Giadrosich, Serra Giadrosich, Camerin Otto Canaday, Reda Kretschmar, Lauren Breshears (Matthew), Lindsey Wood, Leah Wood, Dusty Cobbs, Ashley Cobbs, Alex Ford, Mitch Ford (Katie), Logan Ford, Lucas Ford, Maddie Ford; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Colby are 5 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2022, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Joe Comer officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Pond Cemetery where Aiden Motsinger, Jordan Smith, Carter Brewis, Levi Murphree, Kayden Crigger, and Bradley Woods will serve as pallbearers for Colby. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1 p.m., Saturday until services begin at 5 p.m.
