CULLMAN, Ala. -Two teenagers were killed in a single-vehicle wreck in Cullman County early Monday morning. The crash happened at approximately 1:21 a.m. in the 800 block of Wesley Avenue (County Road 1669).
Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick said Caden Allen Rodgers, 19, of Holly Pond, and an unnamed juvenile were declared deceased at the scene.
The two were fatally injured when the 2001 Saturn SL Rodgers was driving left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Rodgers and a 14-year-old passenger both sustained fatal injuries.
Kilpatrick said both were wearing seatbelts.
A family member created a GoFundMe account for the teens’ funeral expenses. The fundraiser identifies the two as brothers. Donations can be made at www.gofundme.com/f/funeral-arrangements-for-caden-and-colby.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
