City school board meets for last time before new school year

CULLMAN, Ala. –  The Cullman City School Board on Thursday morning held a special-called meeting at the central office.  

In its last meeting before the beginning of the new school year on Wednesday, Aug. 10, the board approved the following action items:  

  • 2022-2023 Supplement Schedule 
  • Stipend for four CNP Managers for performing supervisor duties during the 2022 Summer Curbside and Camp feedings 
  • Stipend for Crisis Prevention Training for certification on July 14, 2022  
  • Stipend for West Elementary Leadership Team Meeting  
  • Stipend for teachers who participated in creating the ELA Pacing Guides and Grading Parameters at Cullman Middle School  
  • Stipend for Elementary Textbook Committee Meeting  
  • Stipend for Cullman High School teachers for the ELA A+ Training  
  • Advanced 3-Year TEAMS Contract with Emilee Alexander valid for the 2022-2025 school years 
  • Preliminary TEAMS Contract with Lauren Shelton valid for the 2022-2023 school year 
  • Supplement contract with Linda Bean to provide band director services for the 2022-2023 school year 
  • Contract with Michael Kilpatrick to provide systemwide lawn care beginning Aug. 1, 2022, through July 31, 2023 
  • Contract with Emily Bussman to provide art education services for Head Start classrooms Aug. 1, 2022 – May 31, 2023 (Head Start Grant Funds) 
  • Approve contract with Emily Bussman to provide art education services for Head Start Pre-K classrooms Aug. 1, 2022 – May 31, 2023 (ADECE OSR Grant Funds) 
  • Head Start Policy Revision for Policy Number PO-PMQl19 
  • Rescind Preliminary TEAMS 1-Year Contract with Heather Carter 
  • Advanced 3-Year TEAMS Contract with Heather Carter valid for the 2022-2025 school year 

The following consent agenda items were approved: 

  • Salvage “Being a Writer Set” from East Elementary School  
  • Salvage four office desks and four hutches from Cullman City Head Start 
  • Revised Cullman City Head Start and Cullman City Head Start Pre-K 2022-2023 Calendar
