Funeral service for Vernile “Verna” Lou Gilley, age 73, of Phil Campbell, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Ricky Newell officiating, and interment in Logan Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gilley passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at her residence. She was born September 7, 1948, to Curtis and Helen Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband: James Edward Gilley and parents.
Survivors include her children: Jimmy (Sue) Gilley, David (Donna) Gilley, Theresa (Allen) Newell and Steven Gilley; grandchildren: Chris Gilley, Taylor Gilley, Greycee Gilley and Nathan Newell; great-grandchildren: Emma Grace Rauch, Kara Newell and Izabella Gilley; brothers: Roy (Julie) Johnson and Dennis (Yung-Ai) Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
