Carolyn Monts Branch was born to John Michael Monts and Mary Frank Monts of Cullman, AL on August 7, 1948. She died June 9, 2022, at the age of 73.
Carolyn graduated from Newberry High School, Newberry SC, in 1966 before earning bachelor’s degrees from both Sacred Heart College (Home Economics) and University of Alabama Huntsville (Accounting).
She was the operator of Larkhurst Knitting and Sewing in Vinemont, AL. She was a skilled artist in knitting, sewing, painting and cooking. She loved road trips, especially to yarn shops. After raising a family and having a business, Carolyn worked in administration at Saint Bernard for 18 years.
Carolyn had a very generous spirit and shared her gift with many ministries at Sacred Heart Church. After the passing of her husband, she had the desire to organize a widow’s group for encouragement and fun. She never hesitated to put her faith in action. During her quiet time, Carolyn enjoyed reading books, especially spiritual literature.
She showered her family with love, especially her grandchildren, Aven, Lilly and William. The tea parties were a big hit!
Carolyn’s kindness and compassion touched many lives.
She is preceded by her parents and husband: Michael Eugene Branch.
She is survived by two brothers: Toby Monts (Teresa) and John Monts; two sons: Robert (Abbey) Branch and William (Angela) Branch; three grandchildren: Lillian Branch, Aven Branch and William Branch and a host of family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
