CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Association of Realtors Golf Tournament will be held at Cross Creek Golf Course with early bird registration beginning at 10:30 a.m. Participants are welcome to attend lunch at the course which will be served at 11:00 a.m., with a shotgun start at 12:00 p.m. The Cullman Association of Realtors (CAOR) works to add value to the community by providing community services and promoting quality of life. They have partnered with several sponsors including Bill Smith, Lewis Roofing and Kimbrough Land Surveying to bring the golf tournament back for another year to benefit the area charities that aid many living in Cullman.
A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will be distributed evenly amongst local charities including Hope Horses which is the only therapeutic riding center in North Alabama, bringing riding lessons to children and adults with physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs; Curt’s Closet, Cullman’s boutique for donated clothing free to children in need; Cullman County Imagination Library, providing free monthly books to kids up to 5 years old and Cullman County Child Development Center, a school for students with intellectual or physical disabilities from pre-K to 21 years old.
Monica Williams, member of CAOR explained, “The original idea was from Kelly Keel and and Debra Scott last year while revamping the PR side for the Association.”
Members from the charities will be participating in the tournament and will be able to talk to attendees about the services their organizations provide.
Participants will receive door prizes provided by Lewis Roofing, a chance to win a Hole in One Car from Bill Smith, as well as prizes for 1st, 4th and 8th place, Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive. The cost to play is $500 per team for a 4-man scramble.
