Wayne Miles, age 88, of Eldridge, Alabama, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, at his residence.
He was born on November 11, 1933 in Eldridge, Alabama. Wayne owned his own auto/body shop and was known to be a great repair technician. He loved to hunt and fish, but in later years, cared more about just feeding and taking care of all deer and creatures. He loved long hikes to exercise, and to work on his little cabin in the woods. Wayne also loved Civil War history and family history.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery in Lynn. Brother Jeff Chaffin will officiate.
Wayne is survived by his daughters: Sandra Miles (Kenny) Franks, Lisa Miles (Jeff) Chaffin and Janet Miles (Marty) Lindsey; grandchildren: Kerry Early, Andy Franks, Macie and Mackenzie Chaffin and Hunter and Sydney Lindsey; sister: Shirley Morten a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: David Woodruff and Annie Belle Miles; brothers: Willie Miles, Bud Miles and Bill Miles and sisters: Estelle Barn, Linnie Bea Cagle, Jean Tucker and Betty Gail Braddy.
