CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and Cullman Police Department utilize a computer program that compiles, stores and shares data.
According to the CCSO, that program suffered a hardware malfunction last week and will potentially be repaired today.
“Our IT department has been working diligently to resolve the issue,” Sheriff Matt Gentry said. “Technicians will be onsite today. It will hopefully be resolved at that time.”
CPD Public Relations Officer Adam Clark said they are having to take it back a notch and do reports the old-fashioned way.
“We are currently having to do paper reports again,” Clark said. “It’s a learning process for some of these younger officers who have always done digital reports. The old incident reports are much different than the reports we do now. We hope to have the problem fixed today.”
