Scotty Delano Cole, 82 of Addison, entered into rest on Monday, April 25, 2022 in Huntsville.
Scotty was born on March 25, 1940, in Cullman, Alabama to Neal and Julia Cole. He served in the United States Army for 37 years.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison. Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at Sardis No. 2 Baptist Church. He will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Brother William McClellan will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Scotty is survived by his daughters: Cindy (Robin) Cork and Dana (Michael) Stewart; son: Scotty Cole II; granddaughters: Lindsey (David) Stracener, Lacey Cork, Lesley (Beau) Leverett, Samantha (JR) Krebs and Allie Stewart; sister: O’Neal Allgood; six great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Hattie Cole; parents: Neal and Julia Cole and brother-in-law: Dwight Allgood.
