ADDISON, Ala. — Addison hosted the Lady Bears from Lynn in their final regular season home game Thursday night, and it ended well for the three Addison seniors and the Lady Bulldogs as they came away with a 6-2 win.
After holding the Lady Bears scoreless in the first, the Lady Dawgs struck for two runs in their half of the first. Lainey Jo Evans led off with a hit by pitch and that was followed by a double to left center by Senior Saige Carter. With runners on second and third, Addison senior Anna Grace Luker lined a single scoring Evans to give the Lady Dawgs a 1-0 lead. Lexie Luker grounded into a fielder’s choice putting runners on the corners with one out. Cara Bolinger grounded into a fielder’s choice scoring Luker. At the end of the first inning, Addison led 2-0.
Lynn tied the game up with two unearned runs of their own in the top of the second. Gracie Jordan led off with a solid single to center. Senior Anna Grace Luker got the next two Lady Bears out and then walked Molly Pate. A Lady Bulldog error allowed Jordan and Pate to score to tie the game up at 2.
The game remained tied until the bottom of the third inning when the Lady Bulldog bats came alive. Carter singled, Anna Grace walked then Lexie singled loading the bases with no one out. The Lady Bears played solid defense as they got the first out of the inning at home plate. Dacey Baker singled driving in Anna Grace. After another out at home, Seventh Grader Mackenzie Carter shot a single through the hole, scoring Bolinger and Baker. At the end of three innings, Addison led 5-2.
Addison scored one more run in their half of the fourth inning. With one out, Carter walked and that was followed by back-to-back singles by the Luker cousins. Bolinger grounded into a run scoring fielder’s choice to give the Lady Dawgs their final run of the game.
Addison took the win 6-2.

Addison was led by Anna Grace Luker who dominated on the mound. She went the distance going seven innings, scattering three hits and giving up no earned runs. Luker struck out nine and walked four.
Carter went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk. Anna Grace went 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored. Lexi went 2-for-4. Bolinger finished with a pair of RBIs. Baker went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Carter went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a walk.
Lynn was led by seventh grader Bella Harper. Harper went the distance, giving up six runs, scattering eight hits while walking four and striking out one.
Anna Hosler finished with a walk and two stolen bases. Amy Barton went 1-for-3. Jordan went 1-for-2 with a walk, stolen base and a run scored. Bella Harper went 1-for-3. Pate recorded a walk and a run scored.
The Addison Lady Bulldogs wish to thank three exceptional young ladies, Seniors Anna Grace Luker, Saige Carter and Jayden Woodard as they complete their careers and move on to bigger and better things.
