CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office remained diligent with multiple drug-related arrests, as well as grand jury indictments this week.
On Thursday, April 14, CCSO deputies arrested Dan Bruce Ponder, 69, of Cullman for a Grand Jury Indictment. This stemmed from an incident reported in 2021.
He was charged with sex offense/sodomy (GJ)
Friday, April 15, CCSO deputies attempted to serve warrants on Lisa Wise, 50, of Cullman at a residence in the Vinemont area. Wise, Justin Villa, 50, of Cullman and Dustin Wise, 29, of Cullman were located at the residence, where narcotics and paraphernalia were also recovered.
Lisa Wise was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and R\receiving stolen property (FTA).
Villa was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dustin Wise was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia (FTA), possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication (FTA), shoplifting (FTA) and trespassing (FTA).
On Saturday, April 16, CCSO deputies stopped Christi Brockman, 43, of Hanceville for a traffic violation. It was determined that Brockman had active warrants. A subsequent search then yielded drug paraphernalia.
She was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She also had warrants for possession of methamphetamine, attempt to commit a controlled substance crime and illegal obtaining a controlled substance.
Also on Saturday, deputies stopped Layla Chamness Foshee, 44, for a traffic violation in the Fairview area. A search of the vehicle yielded narcotics and paraphernalia.
Foshee was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana in the second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Monday, April 18, CCSO deputies located Justin Gleen Baker, 28, of Cullman unresponsive behind the wheel of a vehicle in the Good Hope area. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded narcotics and paraphernalia.
He was arrested and charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence.
Cullman County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested William Ray Kelley, 57, of Hohenwaid, TN at the Cullman County Detention Center. He was arrested for two Grand Jury Indictments from 2021.
He was charged with larceny (GJ) and financial exploitation of the elderly (GJ).
Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry said he’s proud of the continual efforts the deputies put forth each day.
“Our Deputies at the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office have been extremely proactive in their work,” Gentry said. “Remaining diligent and getting these drugs off the street is a point of emphasis for the Sheriff’s Office. I am proud of the hard work and dedication all of our deputies continue to show.”
