Man arrested for drug trafficking in Good Hope

CULLMAN, Ala. – A man was arrested for drug trafficking and other charges following a traffic stop on Friday, April 8. 

Garett A. Rodgers, 25, was stopped for a traffic violation around 3:00 a.m. in the Good Hope area by the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office. 

A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded multiple narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The drug trafficking charge was for opiates-more than four grams. The two possession charges were opiates-less than four grams.

 Rodgers was also charged with resisting arrest by refusing to exit the vehicle when instructed to. 

His charges were listed as: drug trafficking, possession of drug paraphernalia-1st offense, second-degree possession of marijuana, possession of dangerous drugs (two counts) and resisting arrest.
