Betty Imogene White, 86, died April 8, 2022, at St. Vincent’s East Hospital. She was born June 2, 1935, in Cullman, the daughter of Roy and Leecy (Rogers) Aldridge.
Imogene, better known as Jean to her friends and “Nanny” to her family, was a graduate of West Point High School. She married Edward White in November of 1952. She worked many jobs over the years, but her favorite was at Food Giant, which she retired from in 2017. She was a resident of East Glen Nursing Home and a member of Grace Community Church.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband: Edward.
She is survived by her daughter: Rebecca (Bo Jetton); son: Jeff White; three grandchildren: Melissa (Keith Summerford), Megan (Patrick Murphy) and Trenton White (Brandy) and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 12 at Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13 at 10:00 a.m. with a graveside service to follow
at Jones Chapel Cemetery in Cullman at 1:00 p.m.
