CULLMAN, Ala. – Zac and Audra Yow will be holding a grand opening for their new business Nomadic Threads, located in the Warehouse District, on Saturday, April 9 starting at 10:00 a.m. The first 25 customers will receive a swag bag with koozies, stickers, coupons and pens. The business started as a hobby for Audra in 2019. Zac said, “We decided to go full speed ahead online and it was a hit. We were both able to quit our jobs and focus on the business last year.”
They offer custom graphic tees that can be done in about 1-2 weeks to give them time to draw the artwork, but the “press on demand” designs on the wall can be done in under five minutes. “You come in, pick a design we have on the wall, then pick from the blank shirts below and we can have it done in about five minutes. We also have shirts already finished in popular designs,” Zac explained.
The normal prices are $22 for a S-XL and XXL and up are $24. Bulk order discounts are applied, such as businesses and companies having their logos printed. Also offered are direct to film prints and sublimation prints for people who have a heat press at home. They can also make custom blankets, hats, dog tags, magnets and more. They have a 3D laser cutter for gifts like ornaments, keychains and bookmarks.
“We should have a pretty good crowd on Saturday. We have so many followers that have been with us since we started and they all want to be supportive,” said Audra.
“We know people’s whole life stories from shirts,” she added. Audra talked about how they have gotten to make memorial items for customers, and they are happy to make shirts to embody the important aspects of people’s lives. “With my background being in occupational therapy, I still get to care for people in a little bit of a different way. We have met so many cool people.”
Nomadic Threads is located at 106 1st Ave NE. They are open Tuesdays-Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
