Funeral service for Mary Ruth Shoemaker, 86, of Cullman will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel. The rosary will follow at 7:30 p.m. Reverend Patrick Egan, O.S.B. will officiate the service. The interment will be at Cullman Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Shoemaker passed from this life on March 30, 2022 at The Folsom Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. She was born April 1, 1935 to Aloysius Francis and Ommie Estella Dewberry Kreps. She loved her flowers, game shows and word search puzzles. Mrs. Shoemaker was a loving and kind mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family and her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Bobby Gene Shoemaker; her great-grandson: Tucker Staton and brothers: Louis “Buck” Kreps and Edmond Kreps.
Mrs. Shoemaker is survived by her daughters: Eleanora Maria Lindsey (Paul Varney) and Mary Ernestine “Ernie” Gossett; brothers: Rayfield “Ray” B. (Christine) Kreps and Kenneth M. (Charlotte) Kreps; sisters-in-law: Elaine Kreps and Nedra Kreps; grandchildren: Brandi Goodlett, Kala Staton, Lindsey Dilworth, Terra Beasley and Samantha Gossett; great-grandchildren: Aaron Sims, Alex Sims, Maddox Beasley, Roman Dilworth, Ariel McClellan and Kallaway LaBauve and a host of family and friends.
