TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Cullman High School’s Varsity Girls’ Tennis Team traveled to Tuscaloosa to play a triple header Friday and the Bearcats returned home with three wins. The varsity girls defeated Hillcrest High School 5-4. After winning No. 1 doubles, No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles, Cullman went into the final two matches down 3-4.
Caroline Hill fought back from a 2-6 deficit to win No. 3 singles 8-7, tying the team score at 4-4. Katia Peterson won her No. 2 singles match in a tiebreak to seal the victory for Cullman.
In Cullman’s second match of the day, the Bearcats defeated Opelika 7-2 and in their third match, they defeated Homewood 9-0 to collect their third win of the day.
