Bobby Douglas Gaines, age 52, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Hospital . Doug was born July 4, 1969 in Birmingham, AL.
Doug was well known for his involvement and coaching in the Cullman Bearcats youth program. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cullman and was employed by the City of Cullman as a building inspector.
Survivors include his wife: Karen Gaines; sons: Tanner Gaines and Eli Gaines; daughters: Brittney Gaines and LaTasha Gaines; brother: Brian (Amanda) Gaines; granddaughters: Serenity, Peyton, Paisley and Baylee and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Bobby and Nancy Gaines; sister: Tina Lynn Latta; infant son: Alan Gaines; grandmother: Lillie Mae Smith and uncle: Butch Shedd.
Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Doug Gaines Memorial Fund at Merchant’s Bank.
