Multiple arrests made after various traffic stops last week

CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office deputies stayed busy this week with multiple drug-related arrests and seeking out warrants. 

On March 14, CCSO deputies made contact with Jason Tyler Crawford, 33, of Vinemont (Pictured above) at a West Point business. Crawford had multiple warrants stemming from 2019 and 2020. He was arrested and transported to the Cullman County Detention Center. 

Crawford was charged with failure to appear on – possession of heroin (two counts) and possession of drug paraphernalia (four counts). 


Also on Monday, CCSO deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Holly Pond area, whereupon Kayla Ashlei Marie Hanson, 30, of Hanceville, was found to be the driver of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded various forms of drug paraphernalia as well as methamphetamine. 

Hanson was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wednesday, March 16, CCSO deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the Berlin Community. Kelly Benard Graves was a passenger in the vehicle. Illegal narcotics were located during a search of the vehicle. 

Graves was then arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

That same day, CCSO deputies also conducted a traffic stop in the Fairview area. Phillip Dwight Parker, 54, of Cullman, was found to have illegal narcotics on his person and paraphernalia inside the vehicle. 

He was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
