Irene loved painting, drawing and creating all forms of art. It was her passion. It brought scenes to life and something ordinary into something beautiful. All who knew her, also knew how she loved animals. At one time, she raised the most beautiful puppies and would find them the very best of homes. It was hard work at times, but the rewards of the unconditional love they all gave was worth it. She also loved to play a game of chess or cards. It was something that she taught us all to do together. It was a great time to work our minds to think strategically, laugh, learn to lose and to win. At the same time, she made family and friend memories with us all. I must add, you wanted her on your team because she always had a winning strategy.

As she raised her kids, she always gave them the confidence that they could do and be anything they wanted if they put their mind to it. She was always encouraging and reminding them to stay on the straight path. She invested in her grandchildren and taught most of them to learn how to swim. She was a beautiful mom, wife, sister-in-law, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother and she will be missed. At this place and time, you wish you could go back and fix and change life’s busyness, to just stop and have more time. We love you, Irene.
