CULLMAN, Ala. – Curt’s Closet will be holding their second annual silent auction and luncheon Clothed in Cullman on Saturday, May 7 at Loft 212 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be served by Chat & Chew. Some of the items up for auction are a Derrick Henry signed Titans football, a $300 Publix gift card, a Porsche track experience at Barber Motorsports Park and vacations at Biloxi and Gatlinburg.

Tickets will be presale only and go on sale Saturday, March 19 and be available at Curt’s Closet located at 1103 3rd Ave SE or on Event Brite.

Ashley Wilson began Curt’s Closet in 2018 in memory of her son Curtis to give back to the community he loved. It is a boutique style experience in which families in need can “shop” among the racks for clothes and other necessities for their children. The non-profit opened its new location in April 2021 to keep up with the growing number of donations and families in need.

Wilson said, “We are still growing. We actually just hired our first employees because of our growth, which is a great problem to have. Volunteers have picked up, our donations have picked up and the families we serve have pretty much tripled since we moved.”

The proceeds from Clothed in Cullman will go toward replenishing the stock at Curt’s Closet. Wilson added, “Every week we have a list of our needs, and if they are not fulfilled by our donations, we go out and purchase them just so we have everything in stock that we need. We don’t want any child to leave here without something they’re needing.”
