A graveside service for Marilyn Faye Williams of Bremen, Alabama will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 11 at Cold Springs Cemetery. Reverend Tommy Graves will be officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at Hanceville Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams was born on November 10, 1945 to the late Gerald Columbus Chapman and Gertrude (Barnett) Farley in Cullman, Alabama. She died at the age of 76 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham on March 6, 2022.
Survivors include her daughters: Dawn (Eddie) Williams-Harris and Vickie Williams-Duke; grandchildren: Mason Edward (Savanna) Harris, Matthew Kemp (Mackenzie) Harris and Isaiah Wayne Duke and Ty Harley Duke; great grandchildren: Kynleigh Brooke Harris, Macklin Everett Harris and Judson Wayne Harris; one great-grandchild on the way: Gatlin Creed Harris and sisters: Zelda Robinson and Dian Morrow.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Floyd “Wayne” Williams; brother: Allan Chapman; sisters: Glenda Bullard and Virginia Chapman and a grandchild: Emery Reese Duke.
