Gerald Dean Swann died Saturday, March 5, 2022, at UAB hospital at the age of 79.

He remodeled five rental houses and installed hardwood floors in all of them in addition to his own home. Gerald loved to kid and joke around with all of his nieces and nephews. Gerald also loved animals, of which he had many through the years, especially his beloved dogs, Roxie and Jack.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Rosa Bell Henderson Swann and Leonard H. Swann; sisters: Hazel Swann Veigl and Gladys Swann Graveman; brothers: Wilmer Swann and Avel Swann and in-laws: Juel and Loretta Lee.
