Johnny “Toby” Ford, age 66, of Double Springs, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
He was born April 15, 1955 to Johnny and Johnnie Ford. Toby proudly served for four years in the United States Army. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed Alabama Crimson Tide Football.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Double Springs Memorial Cemetery (Cockrell-West).
Toby is survived by his wife of 14 years: Melinda Ford; children: Sara Ford, Thomas Ford, Dustin Ford, Amity (Cody) Malcom, John (Kimberly) Ford and Linzi (Daniel) Cole; grandchildren: McKenzie Cole, Bailee Cole, Harper Cole and Josiah Malcom, and one unborn “Baby” Malcom; siblings: Patsy Brown, Ed Ford, Roy Ford and Loyd Ford; special niece: Shelley (Johnny) Green; special friend: Mike Turrentine and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Johnny and Johnnie Ford; sister: Joyce Ponds: special friend: Jon Gunter and special dog, “Hoss”.
Pallbearers will be John Ford, Thomas Ford, Cody Malcom, Dustin Ford, Daniel Cole, Johnny Green and Mark Williams.
