TRINITY, Ala. – After competing in the Sand Mountain Classic over the weekend, the West Point Warriors were back on the road Monday night to square off against East Lawrence. The Warriors returned home with a 7-0 win and improved to 2-3 on the season.

Jacob Bencze racked up four goals in the win over the Eagles. Omar Segunda added a goal and three assists, Josh Shannon posted a goal and an assist and Sal Flores finished with one goal as well. West Point Head Coach Jacob Brown is proud of the way his squad played Monday night and wants to see how much they can continue to improve in each game.

“We played well. Started a little slow but managed to put some things together. We have achieved a lot but still have a long way to go,” Brown said. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint. I’m happy we got the win and we’re looking forward to the next challenge.”

The Warriors will be back on the road Thursday to take on Jasper.
